Devayana Volume 1 Part 3

Devayana, the third grand unknown epic of India is an unimaginable journey through the Treta, the Dwapar, the Kali and the Satya Yuga, the Four Ages. It dazzles us with the stories of creation, and how the will of Lord Brahma manifests. We read about the coming into existence of the Gods, the Demons and the physical world that we know of. We come to know of the sun, the moon, the stars, the planets as well as the various planes of existence. Then, follow life on earth, the creation of Manu; first the aquatic life, the animals as well as the human beings. We read about the continuous war between the divine and the evil forces to govern this creation. This present book is the Hindi translation of the first part of the first volume of Devayana written in Vedic metre. We learn about the Lord of Truth, the Satydeva – his coming into existence through the yajna, his childhood and how with his miraculous touch all beings achieve the ultimate divinity.
It includes all stories and fables that we ever heard from our grandparents and from our ancient books. With Devayana, the artificial veil constructed between mythology and history, vanishes.
